25 to 35 knot northerlies today as a low slowly tracks northeast of the Avalon. Northerlies diminish to 20 to 30 knot tonight, and to 10 to 20 knots by Monday afternoon, as the low begins to weaken over the northern Grand Banks. Variable winds of 5 to 10 knots develop by Monday evening, persisting into Tuesday morning, as a ridge tracks over the Bay from the west. Fair visibility in mist and showers improves to good to occasionally fair this afternoon, and to good Monday morning, persisting through Tuesday. Temperatures near plus 2 this morning rise to plus 3 this afternoon, dropping to plus 2 Monday morning. Temperatures rise to 6 Monday afternoon, dropping to 3 Tuesday morning.

Please be advised that wave data for SmartBay buoy SMB-MO-05, at Come By Chance Point, will be unavailable until further notice. After experiencing problems over the last month and several attempts to rectify the problem in the field, we have removed the wave sensor for repair.
