The Placentia Bay Integrated Management Planning Committee
Formed in 2005, the Committee comprises members with an interest or responsibility in the management of coastal and ocean activities in Placentia Bay; including government, industry, academic, economic development, and non-government groups.
Integrated Management helps stakeholder groups make decisions about the conservation and sustainable use of coastal and ocean resources and space. Within Placentia Bay, the Integrated Management process brings together stakeholder groups to develop shared objectives and strategies. The Committee provides a forum for stakeholders to communicate and collaborate on activities, issues, and opportunities related to ocean and coastal management.
An Integrated Management Plan was created by the Committee that reflects their desire to maintain the ocean and coastal waters of Placentia Bay for the benefit of all its users. Download the Integrated Management Plan.
